After my last article, I got a lot of positive feedback from you regarding the helpfulness of my autism-friendly selection of Christmas gifts. So I decided to be back with some more!
I can imagine that some of you still struggle with ‘the right choice’. I can confirm that is in not easy at all to choose a valuable item from the products market’s sea. Moreover, you just can’t be 100% sure if the position that might seem to be nice and delightfully crafted, can eventually prove to be miserable.
All items described below are our private belongings. So tested and retested by each household’s member, Fat-Cat included. Today I will give you two different genre’s options: two toys and two books. Every single one is listed 3+ but if any toddler under 3 goes for it with an adult caring about the choking hazard, it’s absolutely fine.
1.LEGO BrickHeadz Go Brick Me 41597 Building Kit

If I have to be honest, my husband got that LEGO box for our anniversary just to have a laugh and build ourselves. Instead, it poped-up today from our wardrobe where was hidden for weeks from little monster’s eyes and fingers.
I don’t know if you saw one of my Instagram posts about the actual LEGO therapy. There are many of benefits of using colorful bricks in an everyday home play and even school education. In our place we use
This box of magic is obviously aged 10+ in any case, but if any toddler below the age of 3 is able to build something under a caring presence of an adult, it’s completely fine. My younger son managed to put together LEGO classic bricks from a really early age. His fine motor skills were amazingly developed and he naturally tried to chew some pieces as they have very inviting colors.
I think it’s a good gift idea for a LEGO fan, who loves building not only spaceships and racing cars. It’s a bit imagination you have to put into play with

This year Ravensburger made our year! An astonishing idea and very good craft work. Super evolution of a classic marble run, lifted up to an upper level with optional equipment you can purchase just to add some extra shivers and make more complex your starter kit.
And still, the manufacturer warns about small pieces and choking hazard and labeling this masterpiece to kids aged 8+ but honestly, if you are present and focus, your 2 years old toddler can enjoy as well.
No specific gender addressed. Is perfect for boys and for girls. Made of very fine materials. It allows to build you a numerous different tracks experiment with science and physics-gravity, kinetic and magnetism. Fantastic for those already experienced with some classic wooden marble runs. Quite the same concept but how different with so many extras to be discovered!
And even greater idea – GraviTrax App that you can download for free from AppStore for iOS and GooglePlay for Android ones. It helps you to build new tracks. It has an opportunity to test your tracks ideas with virtual reality before actually build them checking if it will really work as you would like to! Very good gift choice. Your kid will love it!
3. The Magic of Reality: How We Know What’s Really True by Richard Dawkins

A magical mixture of science, general knowledge, and mythology. The author presents simple and clear explanations for many scientific truths that make us understand the world around us.
Because of its extraordinary illustrations, it aims also for children as the colors and drawings are very captivating. And because of its beautifulness that recalls a children picture book, it invites its reader to take a ride for better understanding and exploration of science on a kid’s level.
Absolutely worth of spending money and time. Don’t be mislead. It’s not only a book for adults!
4. Cosmos by Carl Sagan

One of the absolute and unquestionable bestsellers of all times. Sagan in an astute way talks about cosmos, Sun, black holes, birth of stars, Egypt and expanding galaxies.
There is nothing I could say to advertise this position more as it makes it by itself better than a thousand words.
Another option different than a book is Carl Sagan Cosmos – Ultimate Edition on BluRay or DVD.
We consumed a great number of hours watching Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey by the scientist and a former
If you are a Cosmos fanatic you can purchase the first season on Amazon’s
I hope I eased your autism-friendly gift purchase at least a bit!
